ForceBuy is in a closed test. Last updated: 24 September 2026.
The German version is the binding one; this translation is for convenience.
ImprintTermsPrivacyForceBuy keeps a ledger of CS2 items: what you own, what you paid and what it is worth. During the closed test it is free. There is a website at forcebuy.net and a local app that keeps its data on your machine.
The website is open to accounts on the allowlist. Sign-in is through Steam. ForceBuy never asks for a Steam password. The local app has no account of its own.
Calls to Steam and to marketplaces are read-only. ForceBuy does not list, buy, sell, trade or change a price on your behalf. The one write to a service you control is a backup to your own Google Drive, and only if you turn that on in the local app.
A session cookie is the whole session of that site, not a read-only permission. Storing one so that ForceBuy can read your inventory or your history can be against that site's terms and can lead to restrictions on the account, up to a ban. You do not have to store one. The ledger works without it, with whatever that site publishes without a sign-in.
What you do store is kept encrypted, is never shown again, and is used only to read. You can remove it in the settings. Without a sign-in it expires after 30 days.
Whether you sign in, store a cookie or a key, or link an inventory is your decision, and you make it at your own risk. Valve, Steam and every marketplace decide on their own whether they restrict, lock, trade-ban, suspend or close an account, and ForceBuy has no influence on that. ForceBuy is not responsible, and not liable, for such measures or for what follows from them: loss of access to an account, loss of items, of a balance or of market access, lost sales or changed prices.
You alone are responsible for keeping to the terms of the services you use ForceBuy with. If you are not sure whether storing a login is allowed there, do not store it: the ledger works without one.
What is stored, who else sees it and how long it is kept is set out in the privacy statement. Deleting the account, and everything that belongs to it, is a button in the settings. It happens at once and cannot be undone. Prices and the catalogue describe items, not people, and stay.
Do not attack the service, do not share an access code, and do not use ForceBuy on an account that is not yours. The test can pause, change or end. There is no promise that the website stays up or that a ledger on the server survives a failure. Data in the local app stays in the folder you chose.
The software is published under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0. Using the website during the test does not let you resell ForceBuy or use it commercially. Commercial use needs a written agreement with ed3n ([email protected]).
ForceBuy is provided free of charge during the test. It is therefore liable only for intent and gross negligence. Liability for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act is not limited.
Prices, values and profit figures are information, not advice. They come from third parties, can be wrong, late or missing, and every decision to buy, sell or keep an item is yours. ForceBuy is not liable for losses from such decisions, nor for data lost when the website or a backup fails, beyond what the first paragraph of this section requires.
German law applies. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections of the country you live in stay in force. For disputes with businesses the place of jurisdiction is Homburg.
